Iowa Passes The MMJ Doobie

The idea in Iowa to have medical use of marijuana allowed is being passed around like a joint in chemotherapy room.
The Iowa Pharmacy Board has rejected a request that it write the rules allowing marijuana to be used for medical purposes. This is the second time they’ve rejected the request from a marijuana activist. In February they passed the political doobie to the legislature, who took a quick hit and passed it back to the Pharmacy Board.
With another turn at the not burning end the Board paused, thought about and in the words of a board member; “We’re appointed, not elected, and shouldn’t be writing law,” said Margaret Whitworth.
The top pol in the Iowa House, Kevin McCarthy (d) Des Moines says it is unlikely medical marijuana will be taken up any time soon.
