NORTHERN AFGHANISTAN – Two Swedish service members from the NATO-led force were killed in an attack. A local translator was also killed.
KANDAHAR – Four Afghan policemen were killed when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb. Two civilian passers-by were also wounded in the blast.
PARWAN – An Afghan police commander was arrested by Afghan and foreign troops and charged with being involved in a ring responsible for planting and storing homemade bombs.
