Michigan Man Has Ties To von Brunn Website

A Michigan man who now holds the registration for the holywesterempire.org, that was the place to find the writings of James von Brunn is being unfairly treated says his brother.
“He’s just a normal, average guy,” Kendall Reimink said of his brother, Steve Reimink, 45.
Reimink said that his brother does not holds white supremacist views and labeled him a “victim of circumstance.”
Steve Reimink apparently took over administration of the Web site simply to help out another person connected to the site.
“I guess another guy didn’t have any computer skills, and (Steve) volunteered unknowingly,” Kendall Reimink said.
Steve Reimink is a long-time employee of Computers and More on East Lakewood Boulevard in Holland, Michigan, his brother said. He has shied away from media questions, he said, because of embarrassment.
But the explanation doesn’t add up for officials at the Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization that tracks hate groups and battles white supremacists.
It said Steve Reimink’s e-mail address used the numbers 1488, which are associated with white supremacy.
The number 14 refers to a 14-word statement attributed to neo-Nazi David Lane: “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children.”
And 88 often stands for “Heil Hitler,” H being the eighth letter in the alphabet, the law center said on its Web site.
Chris Raphael, president of Computers and More, said it would be inappropriate to discuss his employees’ private lives. Steve Reimink called Thursday morning and asked to take a few days off from work, Raphael said..
Reimink’s father, Floyd, brushed off inquiries about whether his son had a relationship with von Brunn.
“I’m not responding to that kind of question,” the elder Reimink said.
