Bush Will Give Medal Of Freedom To Three Thugs

The White House has revealed that the Shrub is going to reward partners in war crime Tony Blair, John Howard and Alvaro Uribe with the Presidential Medal of Freedom next week. What qualifications does this outstanding trio have to qualify themselves for America’s highest civilian award?
Tony Blair, better known as Bush’s lapdog enabled and supported the war against Afghanistan, costing tens of thousands of lives. Then he backed the illegal invasion of Iraq, costing over a million lives so far and through the policies he established in Great Britain is complicit in the Israeli assault on Gaza, in which over 500 people have died.
John Howard of Australia, the Shrub refers to him as “my sheriff in Southeast Asia, doesn’t get a badge but does get a shiny medal for backing the invasion of Iraq, passed raft of repressive anti-union legislation on behalf of big business and is responsible for racist laws leading to brutal treatment of refugees.
Let’s not leave out the list of bad things for Columbian strongman Alvaro Uribe. Mr. Uribe has distinguished himself by presiding over the deaths of more than 600 trade unionists since election in 2002. He gets extra points for his close links to paramilitaries and drug traffickers and of course his diplomatic crisis that he brought about by bombing rebel camp in neighboring Ecuador.
